In my country we have this expression: “Vai fazer (tal-coisa) assim la na China!” In English: “Go to (do something) like this there in China!” We use it when someone does something so good it impresses us. I’m not sure why this expression was created; I always thought that it is just because China is a very, very far country from Brazil. But now I can see that maybe there is another reason…
Like Lavoisier said: “nothing is created, everything is transformed”.
In the evening I was impressed - we went to this really nice club called “A+” in Changdu. Good electro music, but there were more people sitting and talking than dancing, because of the chill out format of the place. My body doesn’t let me just sit, so I was boogying non-stop. I saw one other girl that was also dancing. “Yeah, nice!” – she was looking at me and I gave a “good-dancing” smile to her. Suddenly, though, I notice that she dances just like me. I changed my moves and… wow! She was imitating my way of dance! It was really funny, and I didn’t get mad at all – in fact, I was pleased about it. It’s like a compliment; she liked my dancing style and did the same.
